How much is a conference ticket?
Who can attend the 2026 FIDI Conference?
The 2026 FIDI Conference is open to all FIDI Affiliates, sponsors and special FIDI guests holding a personal invitation. People not directly linked to a FIDI affiliated company or FIDI Global Alliance can participate if they are registered as a ‘social attendee’.
What is a Social Attendee?
Social attendees are defined as spouses, life partners or relatives of a regular registered attendee and who are not linked to the household goods moving industry. Social attendees are entitled to participate in all social activities of the FIDI Conference programme but are not allowed to hold business meetings in the official conference hotel.
Each regular registered attendee is allowed to register one social attendee. The Social Delegate ticket provides access to all conference business sessions, the Welcome Reception, the FIDI Association Evening and the Gala Dinner. Social Attendees can also book places on the cultural tours.
If you'd like to bring a guest, an additional Gala Dinner ticket can be purchased (limited to one per registered attendee). For guests wishing to book any additional social events or tours, a seperate Social Delegate ticket will be required.
Can I cancel my registration before the conference?
You can cancel, free of charge, your conference registration until 16 February, 00h00 CET (GMT+1). Send an email to admin@fidievents.org and we will proceed as requested. For cancellations after 16 February, the following conditions apply:
• 70% refund for cancellations requested between 17 February and 13 March 2026 00h00 CET (GMT+1) (a 30€ admin fee including VAT will be charged)
• 50% refund for cancellations requested between 14 March and 17 April 2026, 00h00 CET (GMT+1) (a 30€ admin fee including VAT will be charged)
• No refund for cancellations requested after 18 April 2026.

FIDI retains the right to determine what constitutes an emergency situation, if additional supporting documentation is required, and if a refund will be given, and FIDI’s decision will be final. FIDI will not refund due to travel carrier cancellations, visa refusals or other unforeseen incidents beyond the attendee’s control. All attendees are urged to purchase personal travel insurance.
Please note that any refund will be processed after the 2026 FIDI Conference.
Will the optional tours and activities be reimbursed?
Ticketed optional tours and activities are non-refundable. Should the conference be cancelled, or if you cancel your registration, then no ticketed tours or activities will be reimbursed.
Will FIDI reimburse my flights or accommodation?
No, you are responsible for your travel and accommodation arrangements and FIDI will not reimburse flights and/or accommodation.
Do note that hotel bookings are not part of the conference registration process and are subject to the hotel booking and cancellation policy, as displayed on the conference website.
What is the cancellation policy for the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka hotel?

Travelling from Kansai International Airport (KIX) to the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka
The Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is conveniently located above Namba Station, providing easy access to various transportation options from Kansai International Airport (KIX).
Train
The Nankai Airport Express and Nankai Limited Express Rapi:t services offer the most convenient and efficient route from Kansai International Airport to Namba Station, located directly beneath the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka.
- Limited Express Rapi:t: The fastest option, reaching Namba in approximately 35–40 minutes. Tickets cost around ¥1,450–¥1,500 (approximately €8).
- Airport Express: A slightly slower but more economical option, taking around 45–50 minutes, with tickets costing approximately ¥950 (approximately €5).
Trains depart roughly every 20–30 minutes from the airport’s Nankai Kansai Airport Station, located on the second floor of Terminal 1. Tickets can be purchased from machines or counters near the station entrance.
Taxi
A taxi ride from Kansai International Airport to Swissôtel Nankai Osaka typically takes around 43 minutes and costs approximately ¥16,000–¥20,000 (approximately €90-€115). Taxis are available at the airport's designated taxi stands.
Shuttle Bus
Kansai Airport Transportation Enterprise operates a limousine bus service from Kansai Airport Terminal 1 to Namba OCAT (Osaka City Air Terminal), which is approximately a 5-minute walk from Swissôtel Nankai Osaka. The journey takes about 50 minutes, and tickets cost between ¥1,000 and ¥1,500 (approximately €5.50-€8.50). Buses depart hourly, and tickets can be purchased at the airport's bus ticket counters
Pre-booked Private Transfers
For a more personalized and comfortable journey, pre-booked private transfers are available. Various reputable companies offer transfers from Kansai International Airport to Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, with prices starting at approximately ¥14,000 (approximately €75). These services can accommodate various group sizes and luggage requirements.
Delegate badges
Wear it at all times! This is very important, not just to identify you to hotel and conference staff but also to your fellow attendees.
Your badge will allow you access to the hotel and all the 2026 FIDI Conference sessions and activities. Only one badge will be issued per delegate. If for any reason your badge or lanyard is damaged, it will be replaced upon receipt of the damaged one.
Badges are personal, they should not be lent or exchanged.
Dress code
The dress code for the 2026 FIDI Conference is:

Download the FIDI Conference App
The conference app will be available for download in early 2026; The conference app is your go-to place for all up-to-date information about the 2026 FIDI Conference. This is where you can:
• View and contact your fellow attendees
• Book meetings with other attendees
• View your personal agenda
• Find the latest conference programme updates and sessions details.
You will have access to the Attendee Page, which is the desktop version of the conference app, within 24-hours of registering for the 2026 FIDI Conference.
With the aim of reducing the FIDI Conference’s environmental impact, FIDI Global Alliance has taken the decision to limit the amount of print material for the 2026 FIDI Conference in Osaka. This means that there will be no printed attendee list, programme or brochures; where possible, we will use recycled and biodegradable material for printed items. You can find more information about the FIDI Conference’s sustainable efforts via our Sustainability Pledge.
During the FIDI Conference, feel free to contact the FIDI registration/help desk on site or via email at admin@fidievents.org. For any needs outside of the conference such as restaurant bookings or travel plans, please visit the hotel concierge, located in the hotel lobby.

By registering, you consent to FIDI using your image (photos and video) and contact details for the specific purposes of the event, including the unrestricted right to publish or reproduce and to license the publication and reproduction of your image.

Privacy Statement: FIDI Global Alliance, registered at Fountain Plaza Building 501, 1st Floor, Belgicastraat 1, 1930 Zaventem, Belgium, collects your personal data as an Affiliate, applicant, association, industry organisation, individual related to the moving industry or as a supplier to FIDI.
Personal information however is strictly limited and considered as absolutely necessary to execute FIDI’s affiliation programs and membership. Access we provide to FIDI Services includes but is not limited to the FIDI Website, FIDINET, newsletters and bulletins by email.
We will not process your personal data for other purposes. We will only transfer your personal data to other parties in order to enable us to achieve the above mentioned purposes, or if we are legally obliged to do so. For example, if you register for a FIDI event, we may transfer your data to the hotel hosting the event.
Data will only be retained for the time necessary to process your requests and to comply with our legal obligations. We will take reasonable steps to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
